A few years ago, I left an eighteen year career in law enforcement to pursue a life as a writer and a teacher. I am a grad student at the University of Calgary, and a criminal justice instructor at Athabasca University. My work has appeared in Words with Jam, Swanezine and the Cork University Press Fish Anthology, andmy cookbook, Fish On: Seafood Dishes that Make a Splash, was rated “best of 2010” by January Magazine.

Ingrid, You are brilliant and a voice that needs to be heard by all teachers who cross paths with children with or without autism. It was such a huge honour to be in class with you this summer. I can’t wait to read your next post.
Ingrid…I never knew you liked to fish!!
